It's Monday!

First official day of my "vacation"! Woo hoo! Of course I have to sit around and wait for the DSL installer to come...we're getting upgraded fiber-optic DSL. Why, you may ask? That's a very good question. Hmm. Could it have something to do with the fact that I have a very spoiled husband? COULD BE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's ok. He tells me I'll like it better too. We'll see. Maybe we won't get booted off our online game anymore...

Anyway, the installation is supposed to take something like six hours once the guy gets here. That's ok, I have no plans. Just recuperating, resting up, healing my body after surgery and getting my brain back after far too long without a break from work.

I have piles and piles of papers to sort through. The theme of the week appears to be "let's straighten up!" Sorting, filing, plowing through back issues of magazines to keep what should be kept and toss the rest...it's an ancient vacation ritual, for the perpetually disorganized who never go anywhere!

Nobody told me I was supposed to take a vacation to get organized. I suppose that's my problem!

Ah, but see, you don't fall in the "who never go anywhere" category - you actually get to go do fun things with your vacation! A week at the beach sounds much better to me... :-)

You could go on vacation too... probably should before you get pregnant or at least before the baby comes... I could SOOOOO totally use an entire week at home cleaning and organizing but I'd need to get someone to watch Adi on Tuesday/Thursday and Friday afternoon...

Ah yes, but vacation would require 1. a husband who actually has a job that gives vacation time, 2. a husband that actually doesn't mind sleeping in a bed other than his own, and 3. money.

Minor details.

Don't mind me, I'm just the cranky witch in the house today!

But I'm about to go sit in the sunshine...

Oh good - enjoying the sunshine. Laurel and I were worried you'd be unhappy since it wasn't chilly and raining. I figured however that you'd make the best of it by either staying inside to bake or heading outside to fiddle in the garden.

Yeah, she emailed me about the lack of rain. I'll make the best of a bad situation... ;-)

I think I may be suffering from a lack of Vitamin D (or whatever it is that the sun brings).

I think I caught your cold...
